New Moon Eclipse in Cancer

New Moon Eclipse in Cancer

New Moon Eclipse in Cancer 1200 801 The Cosmos Within Us

We have a new Moon solar eclipse in cancer today (exactly at 3:16 pm in the U.S.). As astrology is all about cycles within cycles within cycles, eclipses are cyclic too. The one we have today is an eclipse from the Saros cycle. Or you can say Saros family of eclipses.

They are happening every 18 years when the North Node is in Cancer like it’s happening now. The last one was 18 years ago and (together with Saturn-Pluto opposition) it has marked one of the major events in our history (September 2001). Today Satun and Pluto are both in conjunction, which we hope will turn out more harmonious. Good time to keep your prayers in “peace to the world” area.

It’s also a new moon in Cancer. A great time to plant new seeds not only for the next month but also for next year 18 years period! I think it’s a big thing that is happening today. I think about solar eclipses as a reset button, since the main source of power in our system is “turned off” for the moment. For this short period, we can rest, benefit from this gap. Access a space within that is usually not accessible due to being in constant use. It’s like a turning off a strong light so you remind yourself that you have eyes. Also, only then you can see and examine the light bulb.

Since we are a reflection of a higher order, and we carry stars energy within us, for me solar eclipse is also something personal and internal. It’s a great time to feel the connection to the Sun. Also, the one inside you. Get in touch with your core through your emotions (Moon in Cancer). You can cry about it if you feel like 🙂

Have a beautiful time.
