How do you all feel during this Equinox? Strong? Tired? Sleepy? Awake? What is so special about this time?
Sun has entered Libra, so we are at the equilibrium point. Night and day have exactly the same length. From now on we are entering the underworld and night will overrule the day. In Hellenistic astrology, this was the main line of division: night and day. There were day time and night time astrology. During the day everything is clear and obvious. There is ONE star in the sky, that disperse all the darkness with its light. It is the center and the truth. The Sun makes us see things clearly.
When we look at the sky during the night, the clarity of singularity is gone and we see billions of small lights. Infinite possibilities and nothing is so certain anymore.
Fall Equinox is the moment of balance between these worlds. We are entering the night- a time of sleep and dreams. A time when we can not really on our 5 senses so much anymore. We turn toward intuition, feelings, and visions. We are going inward. Even literally we spend more time indoors. Following the natural order, we prepare for winter. Safe energy, collect food. We stock up.
This is this very special point of balance when the intensity of summer is already gone. Nature gets quieter, slowly turns toward stillness, but it is still sunny and warm. We are already out of summer but still not in deep autumn or winter. We are the 0 points between + and – and it feels like now we can access both qualities effortlessly. We reflect on the summer months and harvest what we sow. The beauty of that time is unique.
At the same time in the zodiac wheel, Libra is this is an opposite point to an Aries (Vernal Equinox – March 21st). Dynamics between Aries and Libra is an archetypal opposition. All the opposition has Libra energy. They bring awareness and asking for balance. This is a horizontal line of a cardinal cross, the structure of our world.
I wish us all a balance when we turn with the wheel of the cycles of our lives.
The balance between inhale and exhale between feminine and masculine, positive and negative, between night and day darkness and light, inside and outside, Me and You.
Happy Fall Equinox!
