Today Full Moon. Sun in Libra opposing Moon in Aries. Cardinal axis.
Cardinal signs set the tone for the whole cycle. Then comes a fixed sign to stabilize the energy brought by the cardinal sign, followed by the Mutable sign to prepare for a change. But that axis is special cause this particular opposition is directly between: “me”- point of the chart and “you” or “me in relation”. This is also the 1st – 7th house opposition. Very beginning of the whole zodiac- Aries and furthest point (from Aries) – Libra. Feels like some kind of mirror to me. Cardinal Aries sets the tone for the next 1/2 of the year: me (Aries), self-value (Taurus), communication/connections (Gemini), emotional security (Cancer), self-expression (Leo), self-perfection (Virgo) – all these 6 signs are about ourself. Libra is the first sign when we really come out from ourself and go into the “other”- this is the direction for another 1/2 year – me and you (Libra), transformation through intimate contact (Scorpio), distant travels, looking for the truth out there (Sagittarius), work, carrier functioning in the external world (Capricorn), communities (Aquarius) and going far somewhere else I don’t even know where (Pisces).
As you see, 6 signs starting from Libra are all about different aspects of us outside ourselves. Aries – Libra axis is the first line of the grand cross and the cross is a symbol describing very basic principles of how our world runs. During this Full Moon, we integrate this very basic duality: Me and You, men (Mars) and woman (Venus).
In the last article, I wrote a little bit about the Aries – Libra axis to explain Libra through its polarity point, now the sky (Sun and Moon) is shining a light on these 2 points. Every aspect is about integration. In every Libra, there is an Aries and in every Aries, there is a Libra. The opposition is asking us to find a balance. How to move into action, in your own direction without fighting with everything that stands in your way (Aries)? How to be other-oriented and don’t lose your self? (Libra). How to be in touch with your own truth and at the same time also include others? How to be sure, but not cheeky? How to combine the power of instinct and being socialized? How to say how you really feel without hurting another person? Can you love someone without loving yourself? When you love yourself deeply are you open to other people?
Libra season continues and we are finding balance with every step.
